NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
650 PM CDT FRI APR 23 2010

THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

CENTRAL AND EASTERN ARKANSAS
FAR SOUTHERN ILLINOIS
WESTERN KENTUCKY
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI
WESTERN AND MIDDLE TENNESSEE

EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING FROM 650 PM UNTIL 300 AM CDT.

THE FOLLOWING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS:

NUMEROUS TORNADOES
ISOLATED INTENSE TORNADOES POSSIBLE
WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS
ISOLATED WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE
SCATTERED LARGE HAIL TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
